North River Kids

North River Kids believe there are lots of important things we do, but nothing is more important than whether or not our kids have a right relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s why at North River Kids we want to partner with parents to help their children take the next step in being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.

We are excited to have you come and worship with us at North River Church! When you bring your children to the Kids Ministry Building the first thing you'll see is our check in station.  Your kids safety is a big priority for us! At the check in station, just let the volunteer working there know you are a guest and they will ask you a few short questions and check in your child.  You are welcome to see all the rooms and facilities in the kids building so feel free to walk your child to their class.  Our members usually just check in their kids and let one of our volunteers take them to their class, but please don't feel like you can't walk your child back to their class!  After worship, an adult registered to pick up your child (The people allowed to pick up your child will be identified when the volunteer checks you in) must be present to check your child out of the Kids Ministry Building.  We are excited to meet you! Welcome to North River Church!

The Preschool Ministry is a vital part of the overall ministry of North River Church. Preschool Ministry is where we partner with parents to offer children their first glimpse of what God’s love looks like, and in caring for their physical needs, we act out Christ’s command when He said, “feed my sheep.” (John 21:17)

Any time children are in our care, they are hearing about God- how He made them, how He loves them and how He wants to be their friend forever. We pray these foundations that we lay will open doors for them to one day accept Jesus as Savior and Lord and develop a personal, growing relationship with Christ.

During times of cooperate worship, quality care and biblical teaching will be provided for our preschool children. We use a curriculum called The Gospel Project. It is a chronological timeline through the Bible each week starting in Genesis and ending in Revelation. Each story from God’s word points back to the Gospel of Jesus! We believe that Christ is to be the center of our lives and, as a reflection of that, He is to be at the center of how we lead children. Using the same curriculum for both hours our kids are at church allows them multiple opportunities to hear the same Bible story and experience God’s Word in different ways.

Grade School

We believe that kids need an energetic, fun, and appealing atmosphere that engages them in the Bible lesson and worship, as well as, a safe and comfortable environment where genuine relationships can be built. They'll know that they can count on a consistent leader to guide them. And they’ll have friends to walk alongside them as they apply theses truths, as God shapes them, and as they influence those around them. We strive to make each child feel welcomed, loved, and accepted as they grow in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ.
